What you see VS what I see

Weddings are such an awesome time to come together with friends and family to celebrate the most important day of your lives!  I welcome friends and family to take pictures throughout the day, it brings an angle to the wedding day that I absolutely adore, I want you to relive your wedding day through their eyes. I love playing "where's the photographer" in the weeks after a wedding when your friends and family are posting their images and tagging you in them.  It's always fun (or scary) to catch a glimpse of myself in action!

Sometimes I see photos of a pose I set up and it melts my heart.  Typically, during formals, I'm a little secretive so its just you, your new spouse and myself for your formals.  Every so often a photo is captured during the formals from a guests' camera or cell phone. Sometimes, photographers look like they're shooting from odd angles and it looks like there's no way an image could possibly look nice.  I promise, we're not crazy!

We see light in a different way, we bend and manipulate light around you.  We focus on the love in  your eyes and the pure joy throughout the day.

Choosing a photographer for your wedding day can either be a stressful decision or an easy decision.  There are so many of us out there and each one has a different style and personality.  It's important to choose someone you click with and love their work.  You're trusting someone to capture a day that doesn't come with a do-over.  I promise we have a vision!  These two images are a perfect example.

They're also a perfect example of the quality a photographer can provide you over opting to not hire a professional photographer.

let me tell you a little secret, for my own wedding, I didn't hire a photographer.  I have some images from my photographer friend using my gear to shoot my wedding.  However, most of my ceremony is from cell phones.  The quality does not compare.  I cannot take my wedding day back, we talk about doing a vow renewal after 10-15 years, but it's not the same.

That sun, though! This seriously was one of my favorite images from their wedding day!

This second one, I posed my couple and then proceeded to shoot through a lilac bush.  I know I probably looked crazy to the guest who took this image, but I had a vision! It's the little things!
